
Steps New York is seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist to support our growing e-commerce and retail presence. This role will work closely with the E-Commerce Director to execute on-brand content across Instagram, email, and digital platforms, driving Shopify traffic and sales. The ideal candidate is hands‑on with content creation, social commerce, and email marketing, has a strong eye for fashion and visual storytelling, and is excited to grow engagement, conversions, and brand awareness through strategic digital initiatives.
Main Job Responsibilities
Execute on-brand content across Instagram, email, and digital platforms to drive Shopify sales and traffic working closely with and under the direction of the e-commerce director.
Create, shoot, edit, and post daily photo and video content (Reels, Stories, posts, product videos).
Create contents to support launches and promotions.
Manage Instagram Shop and social commerce, including product tagging and collections linked to Shopify.
Plan and send email marketing campaigns (newsletters, product drops, promotions) that convert to sales with the direction of the E‑Commerce Director.
Manage and execute promotional email campaigns for retail stores , following the strategy and direction of the Operations Manager for Retail Stores.
Drive follower growth, engagement, and conversions through campaigns, collaborations, and giveaways.
Coordinate influencer partnerships, gifting, and UGC to increase brand awareness and sales.
Track performance across Instagram, email, and Shopify; analyze metrics to improve conversion and ROI.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in digital marketing or social media marketing (fashion or e-commerce preferred).
Strong understanding of Instagram growth, social commerce, email marketing, and Shopify sales funnels.
Skilled in Canva, CapCut, Lightroom, or similar tools.
Strong eye for fashion, styling, and visual consistency.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and execution‑focused.
