Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as the
Associate Athletic Director . This individual will support the Athletic Director in the administration, oversight, and daily operations of the athletic program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of education-based athletics, and a commitment to developing students and coaches in alignment with the mission and values of HIES. Responsibilities Assist in the overall administration and leadership of the HIES Athletic Department Support daily athletic operations, including scheduling, facilities usage, event management, and game-day supervision Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring coaches Support compliance with GHSA rules and regulations and school policies Collaborate with the Athletic Director on departmental planning and strategic initiatives Work closely with the HIES Facilities division to coordinate field and facility usage, maintenance needs, and event setup in support of athletic programming Manage departmental partnerships and platforms, including Hudl, The Golden Bear Network, and online team store operations Uphold and promote the school’s mission by fostering a love of learning, respect for self and others, faith in God, and a commitment to service to the world community Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Minimum of seven years of experience in athletic administration and/or leadership Head coaching experience at independent school athletics preferred High energy, positive presence, and the ability to lead effectively in a dynamic, education-based athletic environment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned athletic culture Ability to collaborate effectively with students, coaches, faculty, administrators, and parents
