What to Expect

The Director, Regional Sales leads the financial services wholesale, retail, lease, and insurance business in the assigned region. This role sets strategic objectives aligned with broader goals and ensures their effective execution, balancing regional growth and profitability. The Director coaches and guides Business Development Managers (BDMs) to achieve sales objectives and revenue targets, and maintains relationships with dealers and OEMs as the primary regional liaison to grow and support sales goals. Driving is an essential function of this position.

What You Will Do

  1. Daily Activity
    • Direct day-to-day regional and district level HMF/KFA/GF activities to achieve KPIs and strategic initiatives for the region.
    • Lead, coach, and develop regional BDMs in district management and KPI achievement.
    • Monitor regional OEM and dealer performance to meet region profitability objectives.
  2. Relationship Management
    • Lead the HCA/OEM relationship for the assigned region to leverage HCA’s products and services for mutual growth.
    • Foster robust dealer relationships and ensure a seamless dealer experience.
    • Represent HCA at OEM and dealer councils and associations.
    • Grow and manage commercial assets within the region by prospecting and working with BDMs to acquire new floorplans and manage dealer portfolios.
    • Collaborate with the insurance business to grow the overall HCA portfolio (commercial, consumer, and insurance products).
  3. People Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience with a focus on Extended Warranty and/or F&I field sales
  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience
  • Captive experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record in sales leadership and management
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer/dealer needs, and competitive landscapes
  • Extensive menu selling knowledge/experience
  • Proficient in selling current F&I product portfolio
  • Proven history of account acquisitions through dealer conversion methods
  • Experience in sustainable account development
  • Adept at dealer conversion, income development, product knowledge, and related skills
  • Ability to work across levels and functions to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate vision, communicate effectively, and manage performance
  • Excellent written, verbal, and sales presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
  • Comfort navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward thinking with the ability to work under pressure and organize complex information

Driving Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Daily driving and travel across assigned regions, meetings, and events
  • Some overnight travel may be required
