Head of Private Markets and Alternatives

This senior leader will be responsible for managing a range of strategy and execution activities for the business, including planning, execution and delivery of application and technology solutions in Hedge Fund Services and Private Markets. The role requires a strategic thinker with proven success in ensuring the implementation of risk, regulatory and compliance initiatives.

Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $130,000–$175,000

Responsibilities

  • Refine and execute growth strategy for a substantial, market‑leading offering through driving strategic and business development initiatives.
  • Drive strategic and operating planning processes in partnership with other leaders.
  • Identify and develop relationships with clients and other third parties, engaging C‑suites of target clients.
  • Define the development roadmap for the Alternative Investment Services and Private Markets program.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end application development lifecycle including testing, deployment and L4 support.
  • Partner with business leadership to support planned business growth and client onboarding.
  • Implement application modernization strategy to transform legacy applications to modern scalable cloud‑based solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with Product and Operations to understand business requirements and deliver technology solutions.
  • Communicate with senior executives on technology strategies and program status.
  • Establish talent development strategies and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Keys to Success / Skills

  • Deep expertise and proven track record in leading and delivering enterprise‑scale application development, tools and technologies.
  • Experience in Financial Services industry in the area of Alternative Investment Services and Private Markets.
  • Proven experience aligning technology solutions with complex business strategies and processes.
  • Experience leading large multifunctional application transformation workstreams, delivering measurable outcomes and business value including risk reduction, resiliency, simplification, and reduced total cost of ownership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internal and external.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in application development with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Ability to manage a large global team.
