
This position is 5 days in office in the SF East Bay.
This role provides scientific and strategic leadership for antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) discovery and early development within a research-driven oncology organization. The position plays a key role in advancing ADC programs from target validation through lead selection, leveraging deep expertise in chemistry, bioconjugation, and emerging ADC technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute ADC discovery programs, including antibody conjugation chemistry.
- Serve as the ADC chemistry subject‑matter expert, driving innovation in linkers, payloads, and conjugation methods.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and with external partners to advance ADC research and early development.
- Oversee in vitro biofunctional assays to support candidate screening and selection.
- Manage and mentor laboratory‑based scientific staff while ensuring scientific rigor, data quality, and compliance.
Qualifications
- PhD or advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong track record in ADC discovery, from screening to development candidate nomination.
- Hands‑on expertise with ADC conjugation, analytics, and characterization.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
