Key Responsibilities
- Perform mortgage underwriting with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate loan applications to ensure adherence to internal, investor, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct financial analysis, reviewing employment, income, debts, and assets to determine borrower capacity.
- Review all loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate income, debt-to-income ratios, and loan-to-value ratios to ensure compliance with lending standards.
- Assess property appraisals and valuations for compliance.
- Ensure all loans meet company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven mortgage underwriting experience required.
- Strong knowledge of investor guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze financial data and make sound credit decisions.
