
Overview
As the Regional Sales Manager at Caron Scientific for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, your responsibilities include developing and executing a strategic sales plan that drives sales of our full range of enclosures and incubator products and related services. The successful candidate must reside within Northern California or the Seattle region.
Responsibilities
Penetrate key accounts in the life sciences research and clinical space, including, but not limited to CROs, Biotech, Pharma, Academia, and Industrial markets.
Proactively manage new account acquisition, the sales funnel, and maximize lead to opportunity as well as opportunity to order conversion.
Present and sell Caron’s lab products and solutions, with a focus on Cell Culture applications.
Aim to achieve or exceed sales revenue and unit targets.
Maintain continuous sales funnel management (leads, opportunities, won/lost), accurate sales forecasting, and effective CRM utilization and maintenance.
Actively explore market potential for the automation of applications in a new or diverse range of subject areas. Projects will range from simple standalone solutions to complex multi-instrument projects.
Arrange and deliver seminars and product demonstrations virtually and in-person.
Attend and organize trade shows, including setup.
Conduct effective team calls and training sessions with customers.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of selling experience (selling in another channel is a plus).
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel up to 70%.
Bachelor’s degree in science field (preferably within life sciences) or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of the life sciences research and clinical space is highly desired.
Proven ability to prospect and negotiate to successfully close sales.
Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience.
An understanding of automation and liquid handling within the laboratory environment.
Experience selling in a laboratory environment.
Proven capital equipment sales experience to research and clinical customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
Highly passionate and energetic with charisma, perseverance, and determination.
Ability to work in competitive sales situations with a hunter mentality and strong prospecting skills.
Customer-focused with excellent listening skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and contribute within a matrixed organization.
Solid organizational skills and ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
