Overview The Senior Broadcast Systems Sales Associate is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling advanced broadcast and media production systems to new and existing clients. This role requires a strong understanding of both broadcast technology and the media production industry. The associate will manage the entire sales cycle, from initial client engagement and needs analysis to solution design, proposal presentation, and deal closing.

Responsibilities

Generate and manage a sales pipeline: Identify and target new business opportunities with television and radio stations, production studios, and other media outlets.

Build client relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and technical contacts at client organizations.

Consultative selling: Act as a subject matter expert, assessing client needs and demonstrating how broadcast technology solutions can solve their specific production challenges.

Develop and present proposals: Work with the engineering and technical teams to create customized, comprehensive proposals for system integrations, including equipment, software, and services.

Negotiate and close sales: Lead contract negotiations and execute sales agreements to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Stay current with industry trends: Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and market trends within the broadcast and media production industries.

Provide sales reporting: Track sales activities, forecast revenue accurately, and report progress to management using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Attend events: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client presentations.

Coordinate post-sale activities: Work with project management and support teams to ensure a smooth hand-off and a high level of client satisfaction after the sale.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in broadcast, professional audio/video, or related technical fields.

Industry knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of broadcast systems, including studio equipment, master control, production software, and associated IT infrastructure.

Sales acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and managing a complex sales cycle.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Problem-solving: Ability to understand technical challenges and develop creative, effective solutions for clients.

Technical aptitude: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Q360 / Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and project management principles.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, electrical engineering, or related field.
