We are seeking a results-driven sales professional to lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio to stakeholders in primary care and neurology settings, applying comprehensive clinical knowledge to drive sales performance. Our Account Managers execute sales and marketing strategies in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong capability in business planning, selling, customer development, local market and therapeutic area expertise, reimbursement, and pharmaceutical compliance. Essential Functions
Business Planning & Account Leadership
– Use digital tools and data-based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocate resources to enhance sales execution, monitor progress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance. Selling
– Deliver clear messages to customers, assess needs, handle objections, and close calls with a commitment to action to drive behavioral changes. Customer Development
– Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals, incorporating “total office” account management where applicable. Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise
– Gather and validate market trends, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover opportunities. Reimbursement
– Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using Lundbeck resources. Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance
– Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical regulatory environment, adhering to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations regarding promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products. Required Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university 2-5 years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience Demonstrated ability to score highly on disease and product training exams; certification on product knowledge annually Self-starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills Adaptability and collaboration in a fast-paced team environment Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify solutions and overcome obstacles Data analysis: strong computer/technical skills to analyze data and set short- and long-term goals aligned with business objectives Live within 40 miles of territory boundaries Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is an essential duty Ability to meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers / customer facilities Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move items up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Recent documented success selling to general practitioners (GPs) and primary care centers Experience promoting and detailing products specific to CNS/neuroscience Experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co-promotions) Travel
Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30%–40% domestically to meet/interact with customers and internal personnel within the territory and to attend 4–8 conferences/meetings within the United States; travel should be completed in a timely manner. The displayed salary range is national and may vary based on location, qualifications, and proficiency. Salary Pay Range: $110,000 to $126,000 with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $39,000.
