What You’ll Do
Oversee all building, equipment, and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-kept community environment
Perform and assign preventive maintenance tasks weekly, monthly, and annually for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and code standards
Supervise and schedule housekeeping and maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors; ensure timely completion and quality of work
Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and records using internal tracking systems (e.g., TELs)
Respond to after-hours emergencies such as power loss, system breakdowns, or safety incidents
Maintain community cleanliness and curb appeal—including landscaping, snow removal, and common area upkeep
Assist residents with minor repairs and moving furniture as needed
Coordinate inspections and compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations
Participate in strategic planning for property updates and renovations
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or GED required
Technical or maintenance training preferred
Experience in building maintenance; assisted living or long-term care experience a plus
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical systems
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead and supervise staff and coordinate vendor work
Basic computer skills for tracking maintenance and repairs
Valid driver’s license with a clean record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and respond to after-hours emergencies
