Job Summary The Office of Student Organizations and Activities is searching for an enthusiastic and student focused professional to serve as the Associate Director for Major Campus Programming. This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and vision for university-wide student engagement initiatives, including high-impact events, integrated involvement programs, and campus-wide collaborations. This role oversees the planning, execution, and assessment of major programs while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, fiscal responsibility, and consistent messaging. Serving as a key leader within the Office of Student Organizations and Activities, the position manages complex operations, supervises professional staff and extensive student leadership portfolios, and supports the training and development of hundreds of student leaders. Through cross-campus partnerships, data-informed decision-making, and innovative engagement strategies, the Assistant Director advances student success, strengthens community connection, and ensures accessible, high-quality involvement experiences for all students. Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge and application of student development theory; student engagement/retention applications; college student advisement in a co-curricular setting; leadership supervision, fiscal management, programming, and risk management protocols/practices.

Qualifications

Preferred Education/Experience: Prefer Master’s degree in Student Personnel/Student Affairs, and five years working with student event planning, student advisement, or campus programming. Driver’s License – preferred.
