Who You Are The Associate Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting supports the company’s external financial reporting and technical accounting activities through direct ownership of execution and compliance. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing SEC filings, supporting technical accounting analysis, maintaining accounting policies, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role works closely with executive stakeholders but remains primarily task oriented and execution focused.
Qualifications
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Active CPA required.
Prepare, review, and coordinate SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, S-1, S-8, and proxy statements, in compliance with SEC rules and U.S. GAAP.
Support technical accounting research, memo preparation, and implementation of new accounting standards under direction from senior leadership.
Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams such as Legal, FP&A, and Stock Administration to collect required data for disclosures.
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors by providing support schedules, documentation, and responses during audits and reviews.
Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities, including control documentation, testing coordination, and remediation tracking.
Prepare and review external reporting components tied to the close process, including cash flow statements, equity, and share based compensation.
Assist with process improvements related to financial reporting, close timelines, and documentation quality.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of disclosures across filings and supporting materials.
Compensation BBOT considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, skills, education, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary, and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
