About the role

Samsara is seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Mid-Market - Public Sector to join our energetic, fast-moving sales team. You will lead and support our Account Executives focusing on mid-sized Public Sector organizations. You will have a track record of hiring, developing, and leading an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team.

In this role you will:

Coach a team of ~8 account executives on sales strategy, pipeline reviews and achieving quarterly targets

Hire new account executives and provide onboarding and ongoing coaching for growth and success

Work cross-functionally to strategically solve problems and project manage

Create content for ongoing training and development

Support account executives through professional development plans

Provide clear and tactical feedback to account executives

Foster culture within the team and commercial organization with high emotional intelligence

Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team

Minimum requirements for the role Minimum of 4+ years of enterprise selling experience

2+ years experience managing a sales team (preferably a Public Sector team)

Experience selling full-cycle sales into the Public Sector (Local Gov, K-12, Higher Education)

Proven track record of ability to train, spearhead and motivate sales teams

Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time-frames

Must have a strong track record of overachievement to quota

Solid understanding of SFDC and accurate forecasting methodology

Must be able to travel up to once per month for onsite

Proficient in data-driven decision making

Ability to provide upwards feedback

An ideal candidate also has Awards for top achievement (President’s club, Winner’s circle, Top 10%)

Passion for helping Account Executives close large, complex deals

The range of annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this position varies by city and experience. OTE ranges may be disclosed in the job posting and may differ by location.
