Our team provides a full range of furniture and wall options, specification, design & sourcing as well as installation and on-going maintenance services. We enjoy collaborating with customers to understand their business objectives and then create furniture solutions that support these objectives. We often partner with architects & design firms as well as the commercial real estate, project management & developer communities to help bring their client’s vision to life. It takes a team of talented associates to develop projects from concept to completion. Position Overview
The GSA Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding Teammates’ government sector business. This role focuses exclusively on existing GSA (General Services Administration) accounts and developing new business opportunities within the GSA market. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with A&D firms, project management consultants, and government agencies specializing in this sector. This is a strategic sales role that requires a deep understanding of the GSA procurement process, contract compliance, and government project lifecycle management. The GSA Account Manager will be responsible for growing Teammates’ GSA division and driving long-term success within the public sector. Annual growth, volume, and profit goals will be agreed upon by the GSA Account Manager and VP of Sales at the beginning of each calendar year. Compensation will be tied to meeting and/or exceeding these goals and business development expectations, etc. Key Responsibilities
Manage and strengthen relationships with existing GSA clients to ensure continued satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business. Provide quick follow-up and be responsive to customers. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds expectations and demonstrates clear value to the client. Identify, pursue, and secure new GSA opportunities through targeted outreach to federal, state, and local agencies. Research and write a business development plan annually. Build and maintain relationships with architecture & design (A&D) firms and project management (PM) firms that specialize specifically in the government sector. Develop a deep understanding of GSA schedules, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements. Learn and practice CMMC 2.0 Certification guidelines ensuring security is adhered to. Collaborate with internal design, sales support, and project management teams to develop comprehensive proposals and ensure seamless project delivery. Communicate clearly and take 100% responsibility for the successful completion of the projects you participate in. Track opportunities and client interactions in CRM systems, maintain accurate forecasting, and reporting. Attend and participate in industry events, trade shows, and GSA partner meetings to expand Teammates’ presence in the Government market. Seek out opportunities through Teknion, Kimball, Global and others to discover and partner on new projects Provide feedback and insight into GSA trends, competitor activity, and strategic positioning to leadership. Help us provide the tools and resources to support your commitment to meeting the goals and expectations agreed upon annually. Lead with enthusiasm and efficiency in managing client relationships and collaborating with internal teams. Communicate proactively, anticipate needs, and ensure all deliverables meet expectations.
