highly detail-oriented
Real Estate Associate to join its team in either
Salt Lake City or Charleston, SC. This position will help support both the existing portfolio (~12,000 units) as well as new acquisitions and will work closely with the Acquisition and Asset Management Teams. Responsibilities
Perform due diligence and underwriting for prospective multifamily investments Prepare financial modeling to support and guide both Acquisition and Asset Management decisions Provide support for the acquisition, financing, asset management, and disposition processes Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties including financial modeling, benchmarking to budget, and collaborating with management in executing business plans Conduct property, market, and industry analysis Assist in the preparation of presentation material (both for internal and external uses) for Investment Offerings and Investor Reporting Interface with brokers, investors, and M&C’s leadership team Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with preference to Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other Business-related degrees. Advanced degree (MRED, MBA, CPA, etc) or CFA Candidate preferred 3-5 years of experience in a finance, analytical, or investment capacity in multifamily real estate Experience in real estate modeling (including DCF analysis) and market analysis Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail as well as quality of deliverables Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions without specific step-by-step instructions Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize/work on multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results in a timely manner Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this position Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe. Experience in Adobe InDesign is a plus This position requires ability to travel overnight (less than 25% of the time) Additional
