Overview

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Sales Manager at a fast-paced, high-performing hotel in downtown Nashville, TN, located in the Downtown Nashville Entertainment & Dining District. Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is a recognized hotel brand. Responsibilities

Solicit and secure new group and transient accounts; grow market share for the property and increase the customer base for preferred accounts. Balance core direct sales disciplines: prospecting, solicitation, rate quoting, contracting, outside sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment, external presentations and sales calls, marketing to in-house guests, and networking. Assist the Director of Sales with creating and implementing weekly social media campaigns. Provide hotel site inspections and client property tours as needed. Ensure all business is booked within hotel revenue policy parameters and accurately input into relevant sales, brand, and management company databases. Create merged contracts and related booking documentation; manage and maintain client account files; create group resumes and communicate client needs to all hotel departments; ensure staff follow through on all requests. Work client-facing at the Front Desk with knowledge of the Hilton OnQ system; process sales activities at the front desk as business levels dictate. Attend industry events and trade shows; develop and execute strategic plans to grow existing accounts and move market share from competitors. Respond to guest requests promptly and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction; conduct telephone prospecting and sales presentations to clients and ownership; knowledge of Hilton systems and Delphi is a plus. Qualifications

Must be able to communicate in English; self-starter with a professional demeanor and strong guest service mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment and multi-task across sales and client reservations. Strong client communications and relationship-building skills; ability to understand group needs and coordinate with Conference Services on F&B, setup, and A/V needs. Strong recordkeeping and data integrity across local processes, brand systems, property sales systems, and management company systems. Familiarity with Amadeus Advanced (Delphi.FDC), OnQ, OnQ R&I, Hilton applications, and Microsoft Office; ProftSword is helpful but not required. Performance Standards
