
Role:
The Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and developing well-written content, advertisements, promotional materials, and public relations pieces across a wide range of channels to engage current SeaComm members and increase awareness in the community.
Responsibilities:
Create and implement content and concepts for advertisements working in conjunction with the Creative Specialist and Marketing and Communications Manager.
Write content for the social media channels owned by SeaComm. Assist with social media giveaways and contests.
Write, publish, and maintain the content on SeaComm's website and corresponding physical materials. Create and manage forms for collecting data.
Produce articles for SeaComm's publications including The Advisor, Kids Corner, Your Bottom Line.
Write Press Releases and Donation Photos for publication
Create content for SeaComm's Weekly Wave Blog and Podcast.
Create materials for the weekly email to our members, based on current promotions and initiatives.
Write and edit marketing letters and other communications pieces for the Credit Union.
Assist with creating monthly reports to show usage and growth of marketing channels, as well as year-over-year trends.
Assist with department events, including Beyond the Branch, and any community-related initiatives.
Maintain knowledge of current trends in Marketing and Communications to advise on new approaches or channels to engage and capture market area.
Perform other duties for the Marketing and Communications Department as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A college degree (BA or BS in relevant field) or equivalent work experience.
Interpersonal
Skills:
Teamwork and collaboration are a must, as is the ability to receive feedback and act on it. This role requires someone who understands the SeaComm brand and can communicate it in a positive and upbeat manner. Willing to lend a hand when needed.

Pay Range:
$21.76 - $27.20 per hour. Position also eligible for quarterly incentives and annual bonus.
Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
