Overview
Currently looking for an experienced Business Development Representative with a collections focus, under the Pinnacle umbrella, we're hiring on behalf of our client, a growing
NYC-based commercial debt recovery agency
with 10 years of combined experience in Merchant Cash Advance collections and delinquent A/R management. They support small and mid-sized businesses with tailored recovery solutions and are expanding their client-facing team. This role is ideal for someone who understands
collections, MCA/alternative lending, or private credit , and enjoys building relationships, creating structure, and driving new business.
Responsibilities
Prospect, qualify, and build relationships with MCA companies, ISOs, private lenders, and other businesses needing collections support.
Manage a pipeline of warm leads while actively developing your own network and outreach strategy.
Clearly communicate the value of specialized collections services and recovery processes within MCA and alternative lending.
Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and act as their main point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
Help create and refine processes—from lead handling to client onboarding to support a high-volume workflow.
Work closely with internal teams to shape service offerings and solve client challenges.
Identify partnership opportunities across MCA and private credit markets.
Qualifications
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
Understanding of collections or A/R recovery; experience in MCA, private credit, or alternative lending is a major plus.
Self-starter who can generate their own leads and build a personal book of business.
Comfortable working at a fast pace and managing high-volume activity.
Able to think creatively, adapt quickly, and build processes from the ground up.
3–5+ years in business development, account management, or B2B sales preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Base & Commission structure: Discussed in detail during the interview process, tied to OTE expectations.
PTO: 15 days
