Business Development Manager - Independent Agency Partnerships
Miroma Group, New York, New York, us, 10261
Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our Miroma Outcomes US to lead our expansion into the independent agency market across the East Coast and beyond. This is a pivotal new business role focused on partnering with independent strategy, media planning, and buying agencies to introduce them to our innovative Outcomes barter trading model.
As a key member of our team, you'll be instrumental in building strategic, long-term partnerships with independent agencies, demonstrating how our commercial trading model creates substantial value for both the agencies themselves and their clients. This isn't about one-off transactions—it's about becoming an essential partner in their growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target independent strategy, media planning, and buying agencies initially across the East Coast, with expansion to broader markets over time
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified agency prospects, particularly agencies whose clients maintain traditional media spend budgets
Open conversations and secure meetings with agency decision-makers and business owners
Build genuine rapport and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to agency leadership
Position our partnership as a strategic advantage rather than a vendor relationship
Demonstrate deep understanding of each agency’s unique needs and growth objectives as well as that of their clients too
Clearly articulate our Outcomes barter trading model and its commercial benefits
Show tangible upside opportunities for both agencies and their clients
Educate prospects on how our trading model can enhance their service offering and competitiveness
Cultivate long-term strategic partnerships rather than transactional relationships
Work collaboratively with agencies to identify mutual growth opportunities
Serve as the primary liaison between agencies and our wider team
Consistently demonstrate the ongoing value of our partnership
What we’re looking for
Proven track record in new business development, preferably in media, advertising, or agency services
A good understanding of the media planning and buying landscape, with a focus on traditional media
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to explain complex commercial models in clear, compelling terms
Consultative and relationship-based business development style
Experience building rapport with business owners and C-level executives
Self starter, an ambitious and resilient professional, keen on growing themselves as the business
Relationship builder, and a great communicator and team player
What we offer
A competitive compensation package
Growth opportunity & strategic impact – this role will directly shape our market presence and growth trajectory
Great office location - Times Square office in the heart of NYC
Collaborative and supportive team
An entrepreneurial environment that values experience, judgment, and accountability
