
The Manager, Digital Design - Creative is a senior creative leader expert responsible for driving performance-driven digital experiences Travel + Leisure Co.’s vacation ownership, membership, and travel brands and products. This role leads a team of 7-8 performance marketing digital designers and 1-2 UI/UX digital designers for sales tools, delivering high-converting digital ads, intuitive sales technology interfaces, and platform-optimized content across paid and owned media.
The Manager, Digital Design - Creative sets the creative tone for scroll-stopping campaigns, modern UI/UX design, and responsive, scalable digital systems. They collaborate closely with internal partners in Performance Media / Digital Marketing, Product, Brand, and Marketing and sales to align creative with growth goals and audience needs.
The ideal candidate excels in thumb-stopping ad design, understands user behavior, and brings strong working knowledge of digital best practices. While not required to code, front-end development fluency is a strong plus.
How You'll Shine:
Digital Design Team Leadership - Manage and mentor a team of up to 10 digital designers across performance media, sales tech and UI/UX. Set priorities, manage workload, provide ongoing creative and strategic feedback, ensure clarity of goals, support team development, and foster a culture of design excellence, agility, and innovation.
Performance Media Design & Campaign Creative - Own concepting and design execution for paid social, display, email, and B2B digital marketing. Guide the creation of high-performing, conversion-optimized creative tailored to platform specs and audience behaviors. Partner closely with digital marketers, media strategists, media analysts, and content to ensure creative meets campaign objectives. Use data and strategy, along with best practices in UI/UX to drive performance creative.
UI/UX Design for Sales Technology - Oversee and guide the visual and interaction design of in-field sales platforms such as interactive maps and presentation tools. Apply user-centered design principles to ensure tools are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with the brand. Partner closely with Sales and Product teams. Work with IT and development vendor to implement any design changes. Front-end implementation managed by in-house designer(s).
Digital Design Systems & Best Practices - Establish and evolve scalable digital design systems, responsive templates, and creative frameworks. Champion best practices in accessibility, mobile-first design, and content scalability across campaigns, platforms, and brands. Work closely with Brand Delivery and Project Management for project flow for on time, on budget and on brand execution.
Cross-Functional Creative Leadership - Act as creative voice across digital initiatives. Partner with Brand Delivery, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Digital teams to align creative strategy with business priorities. Optimize workflows, improve processes, and influence decisions through data-informed design thinking.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in digital design, Visual Communication, UI/UX, or related field
UX/UI, digital advertising, or responsive design certification is a plus
Familiarity with performance creative testing, front-end design systems, and platform-specific specs
Expert-level understanding of performance marketing creative and what drives conversion
Strong UI/UX sensibility, including mobile-first thinking and intuitive interaction design
Ability to lead scroll-stopping, thumb-stopping media design across paid social, display, and email
Familiarity with digital best practices: responsive design, accessibility, content systems
Excellent people leadership, creative feedback, and cross-functional communication skills
Front-end development knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS) a strong plus, though not required
Deep understanding of in-house and agency workflows, process design, and change management
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), and Adobe Express
Experience with CMS and CRM platforms like AEM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Familiarity with asset management and workflow tools (e.g., Workfront, Airtable, JIRA)
Knowledge of accessibility, responsive design principles, and basic front-end development workflows
10+ years in digital design, including 4+ years managing creative/design teams
Proven ability to deliver high-performing, conversion-focused creative across paid, owned, and earned channels
Portfolio must show expertise in media design, UI/UX, and scalable digital systems
Experience in matrixed organizations and collaboration with marketing, product, and sales teams
Agency or in-house brand experience required
