Position Profile Football Development & Marketing Seasonal Assistant

Department Marketing

Reports To Sr. Marketing Manager, Football Development

Status Seasonal, Hourly

What You’ll Do You will play a key role in driving awareness, participation, and program expansion through a mix of research, marketing strategy, community outreach, and event execution. Responsibilities include:

Program & Market Development

Research and identify new football program opportunities in domestic and international markets.

Build relationships with high schools, youth organizations, coaches, and community partners to support long-term growth of football.

Contribute to outreach efforts that increase youth football participation across Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Marketing & Storytelling

Develop creative marketing strategies that elevate football development initiatives across social and digital platforms.

Collaborate with internal teams to create content supporting participation growth, coaching education, and player development.

Assist in designing and executing marketing activations tied to Chiefs' partners, with a focus on flag football initiatives.

Event Activation

Support onsite operations for large-scale events, ensuring smooth and professional execution.

Coordinate and deliver key youth programs, including Chiefs Youth Teams of the Game and Coach of the Week recognitions.

Administrative & Cross Team Collaboration

Prepare NFL Foundation grant applications and support additional funding/resource opportunities.

Serve as a Chiefs representative when communicating with schools, youth leagues, parents, and community groups.

Work collaboratively with Communications, Partnerships, Community, and Digital Media teams to bring projects to life.

Complete additional tasks such as assigned to support department goals.

Creative mindset with enthusiasm for marketing and storytelling.

Willingness to work events, including evenings/weekends as needed.

Detail oriented, organized, and able to work cross functionally.

Prior experience in sports, events, marketing, or youth programs.

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.

High School Diploma required.

Hours Required

40 hours per week and events/game days.
