
An innovative and energetic multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a passionate Interior Designer to join its expanding Santa Monica studio. This role contributes to both architectural and interior design efforts, supporting projects from early concept through construction administration within a collaborative, creative environment.
Responsibilities
Develop design presentation materials and supporting graphics, including renderings. Support project teams in visioning, design development, programming, and space planning to assess client and project needs. Participate in data gathering efforts, visioning sessions, and project implementation activities. Research materials, finishes, and concepts to support and influence interior design direction. Translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings; assist in creating construction documentation and material specifications. Select and specify furniture; coordinate with and direct work of furniture vendor partners. Assist in construction administration tasks including RFI responses and submittal reviews. Present finish and material selections, furniture options, layouts, and overall design solutions aligned with project aesthetic goals, code requirements, budgets, and functionality. Manage and prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design or Interior Architecture program. 3-10 years of professional interior design experience. Progress toward, or possession of, professional licensure and/or certification. Knowledge of: Interior design concepts, materials, furnishings, practices, standards, and principles Applicable city, state, and federal codes Finish materials, FF&E selection and specification, millwork/casework components, and construction detailing Proficiency in Revit. Strong 2D and 3D graphic capabilities. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, presentation, and time‑management skills. Salary & Benefits
Compensation for this role aligns with the Santa Monica market and will be determined based on experience, education, licensure, and skill level. Salary Range: $77,100 - $90,000, depending on experience and expertise.
