TBT launched in 2014 and is now one of the most exciting events on the summer sports calendar, with a Fox Sports partnership, regional championships across the country, and a winner-take-all, $1 million prize. Every year, its open format attracts some of the best players in the world and fulfills its promise of showcasing electrifying competition. In 2023, The Tournament unveiled TST, which exploded onto the scene with a $1 million prize, billing itself as

Coachella for Sports

Position Overview The Tournament is hiring a Ticket & Marketing Analyst. This person must be detail-oriented, capable of handling a variety of special projects, able to work independently, and comfortable in a remote group setting. Elite organizational and communication skills are required.

Duties

Contribute to the overarching strategic development of The Tournament events (e.g. TBT, TST, etc) as a whole, including format, marketing, ticketing, analytics, fan engagement, and more

Reporting & business modeling

Develop YOY ticketing strategy, including pricing, packaging, and fee structures

Stand up reporting dashboards/cadence for all The Tournament events, including:

Email, website, social media, marketing metrics

Ticketing and merchandise sales

Lead CRM management, including platform selection and day-to-day oversight

Lead fan data collection inclusive of surveys, broadcast and social media data

Support key aspects of website (e.g. ticketing, stats, bracket, analytics, forms, etc) and website analytics

Manage the overall ticketing ecosystem across all events

Manage day-to-day relationships between all ticketing partners, including The Tournament third-party platforms and University box offices, including inventory creation, reporting, discounts and onsite box office operations

Ensure marketing team is tied into ticketing systems and workflows to execute marketing plans, including discounting, paid media campaigns, and reporting

Collaborate with marketing team to create consistent and seamless consumer journeys across all purchase opportunities

Monitor capacities, pricing, and fees, and maintain reports to support real-time strategic decision-making

Advise marketing team on box office capabilities to support ticket marketing strategies and campaigns

Handle customer service and inbound group sales inquiries

Create clear workflows for all the above

Statistics platform and database oversight

Work with marketing team and website developers on creative ways to present statistics to fans

Ensure that all integrated partners are set up with tournament stats feed

Liaison with statisticians and ensure they have proper computer software and training manuals in advance of the event

Update matchups as the tournament progresses to ensure timely/accurate displays for all integrated partners

Research and help pursue new opportunities within the statistics space that enhance the fan experience and create revenue opportunities

Oversee team of analytics interns

Requirements & Qualifications

Expert in Excel

Experience with a CRM platform like Klaviyo

Excellent work ethic, strong problem-solving skills, and tenacity

Detail-oriented, self-motivated and results-focused
