Job Summary As a Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the food service operation with marketing promotions, merchandising, social media and student engagement programs to contribute to guest satisfaction and driving revenue at IU. This position requires a creative individual with knowledge of Generation Z and Centennial marketing tactics to drive engagement with the campus dining program. This position reports to the campus marketing manager or director of dining services.
Key Responsibilities
Assists in all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
Supports sales growth tactics, including voluntary meal plans, retail, and catering.
Leads planning, organizing and hosting of promotions and events, including national brand and vendor promotions.
Acts as a brand representative to guests, promoting various products and services.
Assists in the execution of guest feedback and market research programs.
Ensures quality and timely web content and implements social media strategies to drive followers and engagement.
Develops client and external communications assets, including reports, presentations, and news.
Other responsibilities as assigned, including supporting operations with evening or weekend shifts as needed in the business.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, or business, or equivalent of two years of related on the job experience.
Strong organizational, time management and both verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to present to large groups.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Experience with social media tactics to increase brand awareness.
Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
