Responsible for delivering high quality service on all inbound or outbound calls in assigned phone queues./ppstrongDuties Responsibilities:/strong/pulliUtilizes customer service skills to effectively and efficiently handle telephone calls./liliEffectively utilizes departmental resources to maximize productivity, determine priority and ensure quality service./liliHandles administrative duties that may include maintaining records./liliTroubleshoots inquiries and follow up on issues that cannot be resolved immediately./liliAdheres to departmental policies and procedures./liliEffectively resolves priority complex calls, emails and duties./liliResponds to quickly and accurately a higher volume than CSRIII expectations./liliAssists supervisor and serves as a technical resource for the department./liliUses initiative and independent judgment within procedural guidelines./liliMay work directly with pathologists to resolve cases./liliPerforms all other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongEducation and Experience:/strong/pulliRequired: Associates or Bachelors of Science Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science obtained from an accredited institution./liliPreferred: Three years of experience in customer service and/or healthcare/li/ulpstrongLicensure and Certifications:/strong/pulliRequired: State licensure if applicable/liliPreferred: Certified in the area of Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists/li/ulpstrongKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/strong/pulliAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing/liliAbility to work independently, be attentive to detail, and provide quality work/liliAbility to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner/liliAbility to work well with others in a team-oriented environment/liliFlexibility to support the needs of the organization/liliAbility to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, physicians, vendors, clients, and external agencies/liliAbility to maintain the confidentiality of employee, patient, client, and company information at all times/liliAbility to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws: federal and state regulations, including CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Safety, and OSHA Regulations/liliAbility to demonstrate respect for all individuals, adhere to the Companys values and business practices, and do both consistently/liliDemonstrates the ability to maintain cultural competence/liliProficient with related software/li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliRequires sitting for long periods of time./liliRequires manipulation of tools, objects, and equipment using the following physical motions: pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching above shoulder height, grasping with one hand or both, extensive typing, twisting and reaching./liliRoutinely requires coordination of two or more physical operations./liliRequires ability to hear audible sounds via headset or telephone handset./li/ulpstrongWork Conditions:/strong/ppEnvironmentally controlled medical office environment with exposure to noise. Fast-paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations./ppThis role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards.
