HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Sales Support Manager plays a critical role in the success of Varsity Performing Arts and is responsible for leading and optimizing the internal Account Specialist team that supports sales functions within Stanbury. This role ensures sales representatives are equipped with the tools, processes, data, and operational support needed to efficiently manage their pipelines, execute sales activities, and meet performance objectives.
Working cross-functionally with Sales and Operations, the Sales Support Manager drives process improvement, resolves escalations, and enhances overall efficiency to support business growth. This role represents Varsity Brands by consistently demonstrating company core values and upholding the highest ethical standards in all business activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Sales Support Operations Lead the team of Account Specialists to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of internal sales support operations. Establish clear priorities, workflows, and performance expectations to support team productivity and consistency. Monitor, evaluate, and improve internal processes to reduce bottlenecks and increase operational efficiency. Ensure timely and accurate processing of sales orders, quotes, specifications, contracts, and related documentation, including driving team performance toward goals for orders ready for manufacturing. Develop and maintain best practices for internal pipeline management, documentation standards and coordination with sales representatives in a more streamlined approach. Sales Enablement & Internal Partnership
Partner closely with VPA leadership, Sales Leadership, and Design Leadership to provide strategic guidance that supports effective internal process execution and alignment with company goals. Oversee the account specialist team communication for sales representatives by providing internal product guidance, pricing considerations, and process expertise to help align solutions with customer needs, budgets, and operational feasibility. Serve as a key internal liaison between Sales and Operations to ensure clarity, alignment, and consistency in execution. Operational Continuity & Process Improvement
Lead the resolution of escalated internal and customer-impacting issues by collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Production teams. Oversee issue management related to order accuracy, fulfillment readiness, product availability, and delivery timelines to minimize disruption to sales execution. Ensure issues are resolved efficiently, with clear communication and documented process improvements to prevent recurrence. Training & Team Development
Onboard, train, and develop new sales support team members, ensuring they are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and processes needed to be successful. Create and deliver ongoing training to strengthen operational accuracy, efficiency, and system adoption across the sales support team. Stay current on tools, systems, and best practices to continuously elevate team capability and performance. Reporting & Analytics
Track and analyze key performance indicators related to sales support operations, including order accuracy, turnaround times, and readiness for manufacturing. Provide regular performance reporting and insights to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement on sample processing and current order booking process. Use data to inform process enhancements and support more effective overall time execution for company and product growth. Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
Continuously evaluate sales support processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. Implement, optimize, and drive adoption of the Order Management System, Salesforce workflow and process, and any other sales technologies to support data integrity and team performance. Cross-Functional Coordination & Integration
Coordinate with Design, Operation teams, Production, Product Development and other internal teams across Varsity Brands to support timely and accurate execution of sales orders. Communicate product updates, process changes, and promotions internally to the account specialist team. All broader communication to sales will be done by Director and Executive team leadership. Collaborate with Product Development, Design Development and Production leadership to ensure products are manufacturable, profitable, and operationally sound, minimizing downstream impacts and workflow disruptions. QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Proficiency in business specific software (e.g., Salesforce, Smart Sheet) and Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A customer-centric attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. High-level of professionalism and business acumen Time management and organization skills to independently balance and work on multiple tasks/projects concurrently High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills; willingness to be coached by a wide array of business colleagues Customer service orientation to build and retain strong business relationships Technical skills [Microsoft Office, Salesforce, etc.] Strong knowledge of Varsity Performing Arts is preferred Knowledge of sales automation tools and process optimization techniques. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 3-5 years of experience in a sales support or sales administration role VPA experience (preferred) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
