Sales Account Manager

A leading U.S.-based manufacturer serving OEM customers across highly regulated industries (including medical, aerospace, and defense) is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to support and grow business in the Northeast territory. The assigned territory includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The ideal candidate will be located near a major hub airport or in the Northeast region of the U.S. Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing and expanding existing OEM customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. The successful candidate understands the OEM buying process, values consultative selling, and partners closely with internal technical and engineering teams to deliver effective, customer-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute territory strategies aligned with overall business objectives Own and manage customer relationships, ensuring responsiveness and follow-through Grow existing accounts while identifying new market and customer opportunities Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver consultative solutions Communicate market trends, customer needs, and performance metrics using KPIs Ensure compliance with company pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, and ethical standards Effectively coordinate internal resources to support territory goals Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (required) Minimum of 5 years of professional experience; strong background in sales of engineered products strongly preferred At least 2 years of manufacturing sales experience Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all organizational levels Knowledge of industrial sales techniques and a willingness to continuously learn Ability to manage multiple priorities independently Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory Compensation & Benefits
