The Purchasing Agent is responsible for monitoring inventory levels of supplies and materials, preparing purchase orders, monitoring vendor pricing, and responding to inquiries regarding order status, delivery and invoicing.

**This is a 4 x 10 Schedule; 4 days/week @10hrs/day**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains accurate records of goods ordered and received, ensuring packing slips are approved and matched with respective invoices. Prepares reports, as requested, regarding supply costs, utilization trends, etc. Works with vendors to confirm product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Ensures that the best possible prices, quality, and service are delivered. Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders or bid requests for supplies in accordance with company policy and negotiated vendor terms. Ensures supplier compliance with site and company requirements for security and safety. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year experience in purchasing operations including just-in-time inventory methods and par levels. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized purchasing, inventory, and cost systems related to medical equipment and supplies. Core Competencies in safety and security, communication, dependability and initiative. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel to multiple locations. Physical Requirements

The work environment is the typical office environment. The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, patients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Benefits
