
Inside Sales Support Specialist
The Inside Sales Support Specialist is a pivotal customer-facing role that focuses on advancing sales opportunities and ensuring exceptional post-sale follow-up. This position works closely with Outside Sales to increase close rates, enhance customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for add-on sales, cross-selling, and expansion. The role is based in Rockaway, NJ, within the office environment, and reports to the North America VP of Sales. Responsibilities: Partner with Outside Sales to maximize revenue and support all stages of the sales cycle. Proactively engage in presales support to improve the close rate by following up on funnel opportunities and leveraging internal resources. Conduct post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, schedule necessary training, and promptly resolve any issues. Identify opportunities for accessory add-ons, cross-sell, and expand current product usage. Drive Plan renewals, maintaining a target of over 80% renewal closures. Maintain and enhance the customer and distributor database by capturing all incoming contacts and organizational details. Perform database hygiene, including detecting duplicates, merging records, and correcting updates. Log customer and field issues into the CRM for accurate visibility to support, engineering, and operations teams. Collaborate with Marketing to execute effective outreach campaigns that support sales outreach specialists. Monitor open tasks, opportunities, and customer needs to ensure nothing is overlooked. Engage customers with a helpful, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach. Essential Skills: 3+ years of experience in sales support. Proficiency in CRM platforms, with a preference for SugarCRM. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Technical aptitude with knowledge in IP addressing, Cat6, PoE, fiber optics, switches, routers, WiFi, and cloud concepts. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years in technical sales. Experience with LinkedIn and social media research for customer and distributor mapping. Natural conversationalist who builds rapport easily. Problem-solving mindset with a genuine desire to help customers succeed. Work Environment: This role requires full-time onsite work in Rockaway, NJ. The work environment is office-based, providing the opportunity to engage directly with the sales team and customers. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $58,000-$62,000/yr. $58,000-62,000. commission structure. 20% commissions 12k in commission to bring them to 72k total comp.
