GBM Private, Credit Ratings Advisory, Associate, New York Job Summary & Responsibilities The Rating Advisory team provides Investment Banking clients with advice on capital structure, credit profile, financing options, and credit ratings. Located within capital markets, the team collaborates with Investment Banking, M&A, and Financing groups to develop integrated corporate finance solutions. The team utilizes expertise in financial, credit, and rating analysis to deliver objective advice and transactional judgments. Key Responsibilities Perform capital structure analysis for M&A, LBOs, and restructurings. Estimate credit ratings and impacts of transactions. Develop and audit credit and rating models. Participate in initial rating processes for clients. Learn rating agency methodologies and monitor criteria updates. Establish contacts at rating agencies. Engage in client meetings regarding ratings. Basic Qualifications Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting preferred. Experience with financial modeling and statement analysis. Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Flexible teamwork and autonomous working abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in credit assessment and financing options. Real estate finance experience a plus. Salary Range Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $160,000, with potential discretionary bonuses.
