Construction Superintendent Healthcare & Medical Construction | Ground-Up & Interiors Raleigh / Triangle, NC Full-Time | Long-Term Platform $135,000-$170,000 base + bonus + full benefits The Opportunity We're partnered with a well-established, growth-oriented commercial general contractor in the Raleigh/Triangle market that is actively hiring a Mid-to-Senior level Superintendent to lead healthcare and medical construction projects across the region. This role is built for a Superintendent who understands the realities of clinical environments, occupied facilities, infection control, and complex MEP coordination. You'll be trusted as the primary field leader - running work autonomously, setting expectations on site, and partnering closely with PMs and ownership to deliver high-quality healthcare spaces safely and efficiently. Projects include medical office buildings (MOBs), hospital renovations, specialty clinics, imaging suites, labs, and healthcare interiors, along with select commercial ground-up work. Schedules are realistic, teams are properly staffed, and leadership genuinely backs the field. What You'll Be Responsible For Full ownership of day-to-day field operations from mobilization through turnover on healthcare and medical projects Leading subcontractors across all trades with a strong emphasis on MEP coordination, inspections, and quality control Planning and executing site logistics in active, occupied, and safety-sensitive environments Managing AHJs, inspections, daily reports, RFIs, punchlists, and closeout documentation Coordinating with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and facility stakeholders to proactively resolve field issues Tracking manpower, material flow, and milestones to protect schedule and cost targets Enforcing jobsite safety, infection control protocols, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and OSHA standards Setting the tone on site - professionalism, accountability, and craftsmanship matter here What They're Looking For 7-12+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial projects, with meaningful healthcare or medical construction exposure Proven ability to run projects start-to-finish, including renovations in occupied or operational facilities Strong understanding of healthcare building systems, finishes, and complex MEP sequencing Comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and holding teams accountable in high-stakes environments Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar construction platforms OSHA 30 required (ICRA, ILSM, or healthcare-specific training a strong plus) Clear, confident communicator who represents the GC well with owners, inspectors, and design teams Demonstrated career stability - this is a long-term seat, not a project-by-project role Why This Role Stands Out Healthcare-focused pipeline with repeat clients and long-term visibility Superintendent-first culture - field leadership is trusted and empowered Competitive compensation, bonus structure, and full benefits Realistic schedules and well-supported project teams Clear runway into Senior Superintendent or General Superintendent leadership A contractor where people build careers, not just projects
