We are seeking a Senior Estimator with strong experience in civil construction, including private/site development and GDOT projects, to join a growing team in the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‐paced environment, collaborating with operations teams, and helping shape competitive, accurate bids for a wide range of civil projects across Georgia.
What You'll Do
Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project proposals for site development and GDOT-related work.
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine the full scope of work and project requirements.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to evaluate constructability and develop pricing strategies.
Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive coverage.
Participate in bid reviews, value engineering discussions, and project handoff meetings.
Assist in building and maintaining historical cost data and estimating tools.
Support long-term business development by identifying opportunities and building relationships in the Georgia market.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, site development, or roadway work.
Strong understanding of GDOT standards, specifications, and bidding processes.
Proficiency with common estimating and takeoff software (Agtek, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, civil plans, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‐solving skills.
