We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist who will serve as a vital connection to the communities we support. In this role, you will build genuine relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local advocates to promote a harm-reduction approach in substance use disorder care. You'll have the chance to develop outreach strategies, create referral networks, and help individuals access life-changing support. Engage with local and regional partners to cultivate and maintain relationships, including healthcare providers, community agencies, correctional facilities, and treatment centers. Coordinate and enhance enrollment strategies for target regions, ensuring systematic outreach for referrals. Lead marketing presentations in both in-person and virtual settings. Assess and track the effectiveness of outreach initiatives. Identify opportunities for service expansion and develop strategies in assigned areas. Establish and sustain relationships with referral partner accounts and community resources. Assist in community outreach and education on Boulder Care's offerings. Meet or surpass established productivity metrics and enrollment goals.

Planning & Documentation - 15%

Document activities and follow up within 48 hours. Support organizational needs by taking on additional tasks as required. Regularly plan, track, and document outreach efforts. Participate in weekly meetings with state-based teams and enrollment leads.

Project Management - 10%

Collaborate with teams across regions to align resources and projects. Create 6 to 12-month statewide plans in partnership with clinical staff and leadership.

What You Need

Requirements: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. A minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach, business development, sales, or referral management within healthcare systems. Demonstrated expertise in account management with a proven record of growth through strategic partner engagement. Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.). A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation. Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including strong public speaking skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Strong ethical standards. Commitment to embodying Boulder's core values. Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed. Nice to Have:

Knowledge and passion for Substance Use Disorder. Experience in hospital discharge planning, case management, or behavioral health. Previous work with large safety-net hospitals in the area. Familiarity with digital outreach and advocacy. Work Environment

This field-based position requires travel in the community for 3-4 days per week, with the remainder of the work conducted remotely. A secure, private workspace at home is mandatory to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role with a commitment of 40 hours during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Additional workdays may be required based on organizational needs. Hiring Process A 30-minute phone interview. A 60-minute video panel interview. Anticipated start date: March or April 2026. Compensation

The starting salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, complemented by a monthly vehicle allowance of $750. Compensation may vary based on market conditions and individual qualifications. The total package may also include comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options, in addition to paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave.
