Job Description The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) seeks qualified candidates with experience and backgrounds in administering and evaluating Department programs, projects, surveys and initiatives; conducting data analysis as a Strategy Coordinator. The MSBA is a quasi-independent government authority that partners with Massachusetts communities to support the design and construction of educationally-appropriate, flexible, sustainable, and cost-effective public school facilities. Position Summary The Strategy Coordinator supports the Director of Strategic Planning in: organizing educational opportunities/trainings for MSBA stakeholders; creating and conducting new procurement related programs to find cost savings for school districts; administering and evaluating Department programs, projects, surveys and initiatives; researching, writing and presenting training and program information; conducting data analysis; creating graphic visualizations, including in PowerPoint and Excel; and communicating in oral and written form with stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinate information and programming with MSBA stakeholders and other outside organizations, including state agencies and private sector organizations
Provide organizational support and assistance for ongoing and new program developments and initiatives for the Strategy department
Organize events held offsite at school districts and other venues
Prepare material for presentation by Director
Archive information and maintain an organized database of projects
Perform data analytics for assessing operations, program influence and future directions under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Planning
Requirements Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum 5 years professional administrative work
Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Demonstrated ability to track project schedules and program progress
Strong data analysis skills using complex data sets
Strong communication skills including ability to independently draft email and web content
Ability to develop, facilitate and analyze stakeholder surveys to better assess program success and function
Mature interpersonal style; ability to successfully interact with a diverse range of people
Familiarity with public procurement processes preferred
Demonstrated ability to create curriculum and present professional education programs preferred
Ability to create dashboards, databases and merge big data sets using MS applications, Tableau and other programs as necessary to present data findings to help inform policy and program operations preferred
Superb organizational skills
Ability and willingness to travel to meetings and program sites
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently and part of a team
Flexibility and patience to meet demands of a changing schedule and work load
Ability to prioritize workload
Perform other duties as assigned
