
Job Summary
The retail supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision and hands-on support of the gift shop and our 6 outdoor venues. Under the supervision of the Retail Manager/Buyer, the Retail Supervisor (Seasonal) will facilitate training with seasonal staff, exhibit product knowledge, process guest transactions and proper money handling, and enforce company policies. The Retail Supervisor will work with the management team in the daily operation of the retail venues including opening and closing all retail stands and be a main point of contact for seasonal staff during their shift. The Retail Supervisor will also be responsible for inventory management, ensuring merchandise is brought to the necessary locations and maintaining an updated record of stock levels. Pay Rate

Always maintain outstanding guest service consistent with our standards of guest satisfaction. Be able to work with the other Managers, Supervisors, and Associates as a team to ensure all venues maintain guest service, cleaning, and stocking standards. Ensure that product presentations stay organized, stocked, and visually appealing. Assist in daily retail operations, including opening and closing of the venues. Responsible for supervision of employees and administering company policies. Report all important information to the Retail Manager or Assistant in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Environment
Will work in various environments both inside and outside and may occasionally be exposed to inclement weather, temperature and air quality variations. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical hazards; noxious fumes; blood borne pathogens; cleaning compounds; solvents; detergents; noise; and other hazards. Physical Demands
Must be able to navigate entire zoo grounds to access workstations. Must be able to push, pull, raise and/or lower retail stock, displays, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work independently including setting up stations without assistance. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, perform frequent movements, and/or remain mobile for several hours during shift. Must be able to communicate effectively and exchange information accurately. Frequent movement throughout the store, including sales floor, stockroom, and checkout areas. May involve reaching overhead, bending, and kneeling to stock shelves or retrieve items. Must be able to handle, grasp, and operate tools, registers, and merchandise. Frequent repetitive movements, such as scanning items, folding clothes, or tagging products. Must be able to decipher details up close and at a distance (e.g., price tags, labels, signage). Must be able to navigate crowded or fast-paced work areas, especially during peak hours. What We Require
