Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing legendary customer service for in‑store and online customers by delivering a personalized experience that resolves customers’ issues. The team member addresses questions related to store policy, online order status, and merchandise features, uncovers customer needs to drive sales, and communicates via phone, email, website, and mail. The team maintains a positive attendance record and engages in onsite meetings, virtual meetings, conference calls, and online chat groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
Professionally represents Tractor Supply Company’s mission, values, and brand.
Answers inbound calls and logs interactions accurately to ensure resolution.
Assists with online sales, upsell programs, and resolves all online order issues/inquiries.
Provides product information and recommends products to purchase or effective use.
Ensures timely resolution of customer complaints or queries through urgent research or additional contact.
Partners with field, vendors and internal departments to resolve customer contacts as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
1–2 years of store operations, retail, customer service or call center experience (required).
High school diploma or GED (required). Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Proficient computer skills, basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Strong verbal, listening and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude handling conflict.
Strong problem solving, multi‑tasking, critical thinking and sense of urgency.
Experience with call logging systems.
Preferred experience in a customer‑service focused call center.
Working Conditions
Normal office working conditions.
Hybrid / Flexible working conditions.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing (not walking), walking, kneeling/stooping/bending.
Lifting up to 10 pounds.
