This job sits at the intersection of journalism and community building. You’ll take the daily flow of space industry news and transform it into content that sparks conversation, posts that break through the noise, and editorial pieces that challenge consensus thinking. But you’re not just broadcasting: You’re engaging with the community, spotting emerging trends, and building relationships with the people who matter in this industry. We need someone who can produce 10-15 pieces of hard news content (online news, LinkedIn, X) daily while writing thoughtful editorial. You’ve built systems that handle high volume without sacrificing quality, and you understand the space industry well enough to translate technical updates into compelling social content. You’ll work directly with the company owners in a small, high-autonomy team with no layers or handoffs. Editorial judgment lives close to decision-making here. You won’t be navigating approvals or committees, but be trusted to move fast, take informed risks, and own the voice end-to-end. What You’ll Deliver Monthly

20-40 news analysis threads across X and LinkedIn 40-70 rapid hard news posts covering launches, deals, and regulatory moves 6-8 original editorial articles with opinionated takes that spark industry debate Active community engagement, including replies, quote tweets, and conversation curation Editorial planning and competitive monitoring We measure you on engagement metrics, content velocity, and industry influence. The editorial voice can take risks here. We value bold, well-argued perspectives over playing it safe. Performance drives compensation.

Thread engagement rates, viral content, editorials that move the conversation, and sustained audience growth all translate directly to bonus payouts. We’re not looking for high-volume commodity content. We pay premium rates for distinctive voice and measurable impact. You’re the Right Fit If

You synthesize complex information rapidly.

When you see a 20-page regulatory filing, you immediately identify the story angles worth pursuing. You know how to use intelligent automation to handle the summary work, which frees you up to focus on creative execution and editorial judgment. You’ve built efficient workflows.

High output comes from smart systems, not grinding through manual labor. You’re comfortable with prompt engineering and content synthesis tools, and you’ve designed verification steps into your process to catch errors before they go live. You’re visually capable.

You can create charts, quote cards, and thumbnails quickly using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools. What matters isn’t the specific software—it’s that you understand how to make information visual and can execute fast. You write compelling copy.

Your voice is sharp and human. You can take dry technical material and turn it into stories people actually want to read and share. You’re a community builder, not just a broadcaster.

You engage thoughtfully in replies and conversations. You know how to spot the interesting debates happening in the space community and jump in with value. You build relationships with industry figures, and enthusiasts because you genuinely care about the conversation, not just the follower count. Accuracy is non-negotiable for you.

You cross-reference claims against source documents and verify statistics before publishing. You understand the difference between synthesizing information and inventing details, and you’ve built safeguards to prevent fabrications from slipping through. Publishing an error genuinely bothers you. You balance metrics with integrity.

You track what performs well and optimize accordingly, but you’d never sacrifice editorial voice or accuracy just to juice engagement numbers. You care about space.

You know the difference between LEO and GEO. You follow what SpaceX, Rocket Lab, and Planet are doing. The industry’s trajectory genuinely excites you, and that enthusiasm comes through in your work. Required to Apply

Portfolio (required): Share examples that demonstrate your range—a technical thread you’ve created (space or deep tech preferred), visual content you’ve made from complex source material, and evidence of sustained high-volume output. Applications without portfolios won’t be reviewed. Workflow description (required): Walk us through your process from raw source material to published content. Be specific about the tools you use at each stage, how you maintain velocity without sacrificing quality, and your verification process for preventing errors or fabricated details. Brief note (required): Tell us in a few sentences why the space industry excites you and share one recent development you would have loved to cover. What We Offer

Aggressive performance-based compensation.

Your base retainer of $5,000-$7,000/month has significant upside potential. Viral posts and audience growth unlock bonus tiers. The goal is for strong performers to consistently earn $8,000-$10,000+ per month total. Real creative autonomy.

You’ll own the voice and editorial strategy. We’re hiring you for your judgment, and we trust it. Quality over volume.

While velocity matters, we care deeply about distinctive voice and accuracy. This isn’t a content mill. Industry access.

You’ll have direct communication with space industry executives, access to exclusive briefings, and coverage opportunities at launch events. Not a Fit If

You need detailed instructions for every post. You see automation tools as cheating rather than leverage. You’ve published unverified claims in the past. You chase engagement metrics at the expense of editorial voice or factual accuracy. You’re uncomfortable with performance-based compensation structures. The space industry is entering its most dynamic period in decades. We need someone who can translate that velocity into cultural momentum, and we’re willing to pay aggressively for someone who can do it with speed, voice, and integrity. If you’ve been waiting for a role that properly compensates you for operating at full capacity, this is it.
