External Manufacturing Operations Associate Director (Ops AD), in partnership with the respective functional representatives, is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of quality products at competitive costs from external manufacturing partners (EPs) and for integrating these EPs into our company’s supply chain. The Ops AD is the owner and primary point of contact for all interactions between our Manufacturing Division and the assigned EPs. S/he establishes boundaries and ground rules for engagement with the EPs. This role will support management of critical site(s) in the U.S. for the Integrated Launch Excellence team. The number of sites managed will depend on product type, size and complexity of the supply agreement, geography, etc. Responsibilities

Drive global competitiveness on cost and lead-time with 100% compliance for each EP managed, to achieve World Class Supplier (WCS) level performance. Serve as “Virtual Plant Manager” for key EPs to understand their systems, capabilities and capacity utilization, and actively engage in EP operations to ensure supply chain reliability. Be the primary owner of the Manufacturing Division relationship with EPs and the main point of contact for all interactions. Act as the “air traffic controller” for information exchanges between the Manufacturing Division and EPs, establishing boundaries and rules of engagement. Lead the ExM cross-functional (Tier 2) team assigned to each EP and ensure proper execution of the Tier management process. Manage risk across the value chain with the EP to aim for zero supply interruption and 100% compliance in quality and in environment, health and safety (EHS). Apply end-to-end supply chain understanding (design, plan, source, make, deliver) to achieve operational excellence. Develop and execute programs and initiatives with EPs to drive mutually beneficial business results. Oversee operational activities and serve as the primary contact for disputes, ERP transactions, materials management, shop floor production oversight, and continuous improvement activities. The Ops AD partners with Procurement in the identification/selection of new contract manufacturers and in negotiation/termination of supply agreements. He/She participates on cross-functional teams to execute siting/source changes and assumes primary ownership of new sources. The Ops AD collects and reviews EP capacity information, presents findings to Supply Chain Management, and drives capacity expansion as needed. The Ops AD ensures alignment of Supply and Quality agreements and executes ERP transactions related to receipt and movement of company-owned inventory, book-to-physical reconciliation, and destruction when applicable. He/She ensures contract terms (POs, forecasts, deliveries, payments) comply with the Supply Agreement. He/She collaborates with ExM Production System experts and other functions to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities at contract manufacturers and participates in periodic Business and Relationship Review Meetings. Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Medical, Science or Business (minimum) Seven+ years of combined experience in commercial/business and manufacturing (operations, project management, quality, technology, supply chain, etc.) in pharmaceutical, chemical or related industry (or equivalent) Required Experience And Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, project management, collaboration, negotiation and analytical skills. Demonstrated strong leadership in a team environment with coordination abilities. Strong business acumen and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to handle complex projects in challenging environments; decisive in ambiguous situations. Cultural awareness and sensitivities. Required Skills:
