Overview
Responsible for continuous monitoring of swimming facilities throughout normal operations, ensuring that personnel assigned to pools and beaches perform their duties in accordance with regulations and instructions and that aquatic facilities remain clean and free of hazards.
Responsibilities Direct lifeguards and recreation aides on assignments, report staff attendance, periodically conduct practical water tests and emergency drills to verify lifeguard and instructor proficiency, monitor swimming classes, maintain order in swim areas, assist in scheduling, may perform lifeguard and instructor duties, report dangerous or unusual situations to supervisor, perform additional related duties as assigned. Work is performed outdoors in hot weather; may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Requirements
MUST submit current CPR, First Aid and Water Safety Instructor certifications with resume
Must have direct deposit or electronic funds transfer for salary
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Qualifications Must be knowledgeable of current NAS Water Safety Instructions and be responsible for their implementation; demonstrate teaching ability and supervisory skills; must successfully pass a background investigation.
