UPM Adhesive Materials is seeking a driven

Linerless Sales Manager

to grow linerless label solutions in the US. This role is designed for a true hunter—someone who thrives in new business development, displacing incumbent materials, and converting prospects to innovative, sustainable solutions. The successful candidate will be relentless in prospecting, skilled in competitive takeaways, and confident leading technical and commercial conversations that challenge the status quo in labeling solutions.

What you will do

Develop and implement sales strategies to strengthen UPM’s presence in the North American label and release paper market

Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with existing and new customers

Manage and grow large, complex accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation

Collaborate with UPM sales teams, supply chain, technical sales, and customer service to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support

Apply UPM’s pricing and service level policies and document agreements

Provide regular reporting on sales activities, KPIs, and market trends

Promote UPM’s brand and product awareness in the marketplace

Gather and share market intelligence, customer needs, and value chain insights to support product and service development

Use digital tools (CRM, analytics, social media) to enhance sales effectiveness and customer engagement

Act as a sustainability ambassador, promoting UPM’s commitment to responsible business practices in all interactions

Who you are

You have bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

You have 5+ years of outside sales experience in food packaging, pressure-sensitive labels, adhesive materials, or consumables

You have demonstrated success in new-business development and competitive displacement

You have strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills

You preferably have background calling on national and regional hospitality brands, food distributors, or OEMs

You have hunter mentality with a bias for action

You have high resilience, competitiveness, and drive to win

You are disciplined opportunity pipeline management
