What’s the role? The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for selling ZEISS’s Digital Product Portfolio. The role drives sales growth through direct customer interaction, training, and mentoring the sales workforce on data management and instrument connectivity solutions. It also collaborates with marketing and regional teams to develop product specifications, launch plans, and lead generation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Sales responsibility for Digital Portfolio products; attain or exceed yearly revenue, profit, and product mix quotas.

Schedule and host personal/online product demonstrations to customers, potential customers, and their IS/IT staff.

Drive adoption through on‑site visits.

Become the Connectivity “product champion” and technical expert for assigned products.

Maintain, analyze, and utilize territory records and contact management software.

Represent and sell Zeiss Digital Portfolio products at trade shows and meetings.

Educate and follow up with thought leaders on product operation, utilization, and application.

Work with Sales Managers for lead generation, demo/evaluation support, product training, and trade show participation.

Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, KAM, SAM, SUR, REF, and DP to review opportunities, schedule demonstrations, and close business.

Provide timely, accurate, and constructive written and oral communications to management regarding expected sales and planned monthly activity.

Engage marketing teams on new product specifications and related issues.

Foster and develop lead generation via digital marketing channels.

Lead generation and conversion with handover to implementation team.

Lead management and reporting with tools such as Salesforce.

Close collaboration with implementation, training, and support teams to drive product adoption.

Follow up with customers to ensure timely implementation and training while maximizing satisfaction.

Develop and implement creative and profitable tactical marketing approaches for the representative’s region.

Maintain currency of applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures; adhere to state and federal employment laws.

Qualifications & Experience

Four‑year college degree required; Computer Science major or related discipline preferred.

Five years’ relevant sales experience in software solutions & services required; medical software experience preferred.

Knowledge of EMR/EHR business models is a strong plus.

Experience and familiarity with CZMI products and line of business preferred but not required.

Expertise in networking and connectivity required; PACS knowledge preferred.

High level of technical and clinical knowledge within ophthalmology and optometry fields.

Strong organizational and communication skills with peers, customers, and physicians.

Computer literacy in standard business software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Develop expertise in product application and practice management implications.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits The annual starting base salary is $130,000 plus sales commission.
