Industrial Sales Representative – Automation & Electrical Projects
Location: DFW, Texas with coverage across Texas and Louisiana Our client is hiring an Industrial Sales Representative to grow their presence across industrial automation and electrical project work. This is a field-based sales role focused on opening doors, building relationships, and generating new project opportunities inside industrial facilities. This role is best suited for someone who has already sold into manufacturing plants or industrial environments and is comfortable spending time on site, talking to operators, engineers, and decision makers. What This Role Sells
You will sell project-based industrial services, including: Electrical construction and installation Controls and instrumentation Engineering-supported industrial projects Facility upgrades, expansions, and retrofits This is not product sales or transactional selling. It is relationship-driven, project-based industrial sales. Who You Will Call On
You will work directly with decision makers at: Manufacturing plants Food and beverage facilities Chemical and processing plants Industrial facilities and refineries Data centers and industrial infrastructure projects Owners and developers overseeing industrial buildouts Typical contacts include plant managers, operations leaders, maintenance managers, engineers, project managers, and ownership. What You Will Be Doing
Prospecting and developing new business within industrial facilities Spending the majority of your time in the field visiting plants and job sites Building long-term relationships with industrial decision makers Identifying project opportunities and coordinating technical conversations with internal teams Managing a pipeline of industrial automation and electrical projects Tracking activity and opportunities using a CRM or structured tracking system Territory and Work Style
Primary focus on
DFW Expanding coverage across
Texas and Louisiana Approximately
70 to 80 percent field-based Limited office time, mainly for coordination and follow-up Travel is regional and purposeful, not constant Compensation
W2 position Base salary
$100,000 Commission typically ranges from
3 to 7 percent
of project revenue Strong performers can earn
$150,000 to $200,000+ annually What We Are Looking For
Prior sales experience in
industrial automation, electrical construction, controls, instrumentation, or industrial project services Experience selling into manufacturing or industrial environments Comfortable discussing project scope and industrial terminology Strong relationship-building and communication skills Self-motivated and comfortable working independently CRM experience preferred or willingness to use one Why This Opportunity
