Overview

The Internal Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing inbound and outbound sales activities, nurturing leads, building customer relationships, and supporting the overall sales cycle from qualification through close. This role partners closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Account Executives to ensure a consistent and high-quality sales experience. Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Qualification: Manage inbound leads and conduct outbound outreach to targeted prospects. Qualify leads based on customer needs, budget, timeline, and decision process. Maintain accurate lead activity and status updates within the CRM. Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a consistent pipeline of opportunities. Schedule discovery calls, demos, and follow-ups for Account Executives or self-manage depending on complexity. Provide timely and proactive communication to prospects throughout the cycle. Customer Engagement: Understand customer pain points and business objectives to position solutions effectively. Deliver product overviews or introductory demos when appropriate. Build strong, trust-based relationships with prospect accounts. Collaboration & Handoff: Coordinate with Marketing for campaign follow-up, event leads, and nurturing programs. Collaborate with Account Executives to hand off qualified opportunities. Partner with Customer Success to support smooth onboarding when deals close. Sales Operations & Reporting: Track activity metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline progression. Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports. Maintain CRM data hygiene and follow standardized sales processes. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Proven work experience (1-3 years) in SaaS or B2B/B2G sales lead generation, business development, or a relevant role focused on selling to public sector, state and local government accounts. Experience in sales operations and/or contract negotiation is a plus. Proven track record in business application software and service sales across industries. Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive market. Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate in noise. This role operates in an office setting at an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer. Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. This position may occasionally move about inside the office. Frequent communication via telephone. Company Summary
