
The Senior Loan Closer is responsible for managing the closing process for commercial construction bridge loans with an SBA approved take out.This role ensures loans are closed accurately, on time, and in compliance with SBA take out requirements and company policies. The Senior Loan Closer works closely with the closing manager, loan officers, credit and capital teams to ensure smooth closings and successful transitions into servicing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all stakeholders and documentation collection to facilitate the closings of commercial construction bridge loans, ensuring continued compliance with SBA approval
Review loan file and collect required due diligence documentation for loan closings
Review and finalize loan closing documents and closing instructions with Lincoln’s closing attorney
Ensure compliance with SBA SOPs, loan authorizations, and credit approvals
Coordinate with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, CDCs, and internal teams to meet closing timelines
Review title, insurance, entity documents, and construction-related documentation prior to funding
Review and reconcile HUD-1s, settlement statements, and closing statements for lenders, borrowers, and escrow agents
Ensure accurate execution, notarization, and recording of loan documents
File loan extension documents, mortgage releases, and other loan-related documents with applicable counties and state agencies
Track and confirm recording status and resolve filing discrepancies as needed
Complete post-closing file reviews and ensure clean handoff to loan servicing
Other tasks as requested
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial loan closing experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field
Strong experience with SBA 504 and/or SBA 7(a) loan programs
In-depth knowledge of SBA SOPs and loan documentation requirements
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Active Notary Public license (or ability to obtain)
