Science Council Advisor - Sports Science, Biometrics, and Biostatistics
iFIT, Park City, Utah, United States, 84060
iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their individual fitness journey.
Position Summary iFIT is looking for visionary experts to join our Science Council Advisor Board, a dedicated advisory group shaping the future of fitness and wellness technology. We are currently seeking a specialized advisor with deep expertise in Sports Science, Biometrics, and Biostatistics to guide the interpretation and application of physiological, performance, and behavioral data across iFIT’s platform.
The Science Council will comprise approximately five advisors, each bringing domain-specific expertise across Metabolic Science and Weight Loss, Cardio Performance, Strength Performance, Behavioral Psychology, and Sports Science, Biometrics, and Biostatistics. This role represents the data and measurement backbone of the council and plays a critical role in ensuring iFIT’s use of wearables, biomarkers, and performance data is scientifically sound, ethically responsible, and translated into meaningful training and recovery recommendations.
This is a fractional, advisor-level role focused on strategic guidance, scientific validation, and applied insight rather than day-to-day execution.

Contribute to research review, methodological guidance, and quarterly insights related to sports science analytics, biostatistics, and applied performance monitoring.
Conduct research studies to validate program or product efficacy.
Role Responsibilities
Advise on the use of wearable technologies and biometric signals including HRV, heart rate, sleep, workload, and recovery markers

Ensure recommendations are scalable, interpretable, and appropriate across populations
Provide perspective informed by sustained experience working with Olympic, professional, or Division I collegiate athletes or teams

Advise on statistical methods, study design, and data interpretation for sports science research
Support evaluation of outcomes, trends, and longitudinal performance data
Contribute to quarterly reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations

Experience working with wearable technologies and physiological markers to inform training and recovery
Sustained experience working directly with elite or professional athletes or teams including Olympic, professional, or Division I collegiate environments
Ability to commit approximately 5 hours per week as part of a Science Council of 4–5 advisors
Availability to participate in monthly Science Council meetings, with a mix of remote sessions and periodic in-person meetings in Park City
Willingness to offer structured office hours through a booking system to support internal teams
Capacity to support research initiatives and contribute to quarterly reports on trends and recommendations
Availability for PR or media participation as a scientific representative when needed
