Overview OD Resource Group, LLC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to oversee activities pertaining to diverse training and educational initiatives within an organization. This role involves assessing individual or group training requirements, implementing strategies, plans, and programs to address these needs, and creating a range of training resources. The position also requires staying current with emerging training methodologies, evaluating the feasibility of engaging external vendors to support organizational training objectives, and conducting analyses of program efficacy to provide management with reports and recommendations. Additionally, the role encompasses budget preparation and travel coordination, as well as responsibilities related to staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and the administration of promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Establish, communicate, and execute a plan for review of all DSCU training activities

Identify discrepancies and/or gaps between current industry training standards and what DSCU offers

Recommend training plan modifications, including standardized methods for training, delivery and evaluation to close training gaps and improve the DSCU Training Program

Design new eLearning/web‑based courses for use by DSCU employees based on the current needs of the Agency using the Kirkpatrick model for analyzing and evaluating the results of training and educational programs

Utilize eLearning software to create online and virtual training compatible with the new DSCU training platform, Cornerstone

Recommend relevant changes and updates to Agency training plans, including standardized methods for training, delivery and performance

Monitor communications with customers via phone and email to provide support with the new Cornerstone platform

Design and develop standard and customized reports to serve DSCU personnel

Establish recurring reports and notifications within the Cornerstone platform to assist with management of training requirements for LMS program manager and DSCU course managers

Provide advisory support to the HR‑LMD team including any lessons learned on task execution throughout the period of performance of the task

Create and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact and course information to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders

Apply knowledge of Department of Defense to provide relevant recommendations for exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) to support engaging course content and retention of information

Compensation The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration: contract‑specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of ODRG's total compensation package for employees. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience instructional systems design, educational technology or similar relevant field

Minimum of 6 years’ experience of creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content

Must have advanced knowledge in computer‑based training (CBT), and/or web‑based training (WBT) tools (i.e., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Security Clearance Requirements

This position requires you to have an active Secret Clearance.

A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.
