Job Details Sales Engineer - Building Automation Systems

Company: Building Automation Integrator that supports commercial facilities across education, healthcare, higher education, and office environments.

Role The Sales Engineer will drive new business and support existing accounts by managing the full sales cycle for building automation projects. The role focuses on plan-and-spec, design-build, and direct owner opportunities, translating technical requirements into competitive controls solutions while partnering closely with operations to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain customer relationships

Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and pricing from plans and specifications

Manage opportunities from pursuit through project handoff

Track project scope, schedule, and cost changes

Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM documentation

Present BAS software demonstrations and service offerings

Support margin management and post-project follow-up

Qualifications

Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills

Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications

Experience in HVAC controls or building automation preferred

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus
