Summary As a Senior Specialist for Sponsorship Alliances, you'll play a key role in bringing MD Anderson's mission to life through strategic sponsorships and impactful events. You'll help shape how the world experiences and engages with one of the nation's most respected cancer centers, connecting people, brands, and communities to a cause that truly matters.
In this role, you'll collaborate with teams across MD Anderson and external partners to design and deliver sponsorships and events that elevate our brand presence and strengthen our connection to the public. Your creativity, organization, and passion for meaningful communication will help share our story in powerful ways.
The ideal candidate will be local to the Houston Metro area, as this position will be expected to attend event activations.
Additionally, this candidate should be skilled in marketing writing or ad writing, as well as be proficient with Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Implementation
Support and operationalize MD Anderson's partnership and sponsorship strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and mission outcomes.
Evaluate new partnership opportunities alongside Cause Alliances, Marketing, and Philanthropy.
Build and nurture strong relationships with rights holders, community organizations, agencies, and brand ambassadors.
Represent MD Anderson with enthusiasm and authenticity at public events and collaborations.
Event and Activation Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute partnership activations and community events, managing logistics, assets, collateral, giveaways, and staffing.
Serve as an on‑site brand ambassador, ensuring MD Anderson's story is shared consistently and compellingly.
Collaborate with Institutional Affairs teams to produce creative digital, video, and social content that brings our mission to life.
Maintain brand compliance across all materials and approvals.
Measurement and Evaluation
Track deliverables, outcomes, and performance metrics for all partnerships and activations.
Prepare post‑event and campaign recaps that highlight results, learnings, and recommendations for continued improvement.
Support data‑driven decisions for future engagement efforts.

Work Experience Required: Four years of experience in public relations, communications, writing/editing or related field.
Required: Two years of experience with preferred degree.
