About The Role Sealed Air is seeking a driven and proactive Account Manager to join our Protective Packaging business unit. This role manages a strategically important territory across Washington State, with a core focus in the Kent Valley area including Kent, Auburn, and Renton. The position involves both equipment and consumables sales and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-volume, growth-focused market.
We are looking for a self-motivated sales professional with strong prospecting and relationship-building skills. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to identify customer needs, offer consultative solutions, and grow long‑term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a defined sales territory in Western Washington from Centralia to the Canadian border and in Eastern Washington including Spokane
Travel regularly within the region, including several overnight trips per month, to support account development and customer engagement
Use a consultative approach to present Sealed Air’s cushioning solutions, including Instapak and Shanklin equipment, to meet customer needs
Build and maintain relationships with end-users and distributor partners
Design and deliver tailored protective packaging solutions that improve operational efficiency and support sustainability goals
Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data in CRM systems and contribute to strategic territory planning
Collaborate with internal teams to bring innovative offerings and service improvements to market
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of experience in outside sales
Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including overnight stays (average 3-5 overnights per month)
Valid driver's license
Strong communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills
Experience with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Background
Experience selling into manufacturing, logistics, packaging, or industrial sectors
Familiarity with both consumables and capital equipment sales
Proven ability to develop and execute a territory growth plan
