The Event Sales Manager at Folktale Group is responsible for driving new event business through proactive outreach, relationship building, and thoughtful client engagement. This role serves as a point of contact for potential clients, guiding them from initial inquiry through contracting and planning with the Event Production team. The Event Sales Manager plays an integral role in creating memorable experiences by ensuring each event begins with care, attention to detail, and alignment with the Folktale brand of joyful, approachable luxury.
Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for event inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication within 24 hours.
Conduct detailed site visits and client consultations to understand event vision, budget, and goals.
Prepare proposals and contracts that accurately reflect client needs and Folktale Group standards.
Collaborate with the Event Team for handoff of signed events, ensuring all client expectations are clearly communicated.
Maintain strong client relationships post-event to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Assist in the development of corporate, community, and partnership programs to drive future bookings.
Work with marketing and CXO to ensure all collateral, web presence, and campaigns reflect current offerings.
Participate in community networking and local outreach to promote Folktale as a premier destination for events.
Generate new event leads through outbound sales efforts, partnerships, and networking
Develop and execute strategies to increase booking volume during off-peak dates
Upsell event enhancements, packages, and add-ons to maximize revenue per event
Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality, or venue management.
Proven ability to generate and close new business through proactive outreach and relationship management.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM or event management software such as TripleSeat or similar systems.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional client experiences.
